Please ensure that the libtool.m4 macros aclocal finds match the
ltmain.sh file that is used; also, that your m4 version is not too old
(1.4.5 or newer).  Then rerun aclocal and autoconf (or the autogen.sh/
bootstrap script, however it's called).
