Using gmp-4.3.1

Configure command:

../configure \
    --prefix=${HOME}/local/sgi \
    --with-libgmp-prefix=${HOME}/local/sgi \
    --with-libgmpxx-prefix=${HOME}/local/sgi

Configure output:
