I Like Gardening

The garden around the house has an area of 9000 square meters, and is situated on a hill side looking South. As the ground is not very deep here some of the garden features required the extensive use of hammer and chisel. On the other hand the position is wonderful: as the entire site is looking South the climate is excellent. Moreover, the sea can be admired from almost any point of the garden whereas the Elba highland is visible from the higher parts.

The garden can be subdivided in several thematic regions:

• the rock garden;
• the ponds;
• the romantic garden;
• the aromatic garden;
• the olive-grove;
• the vegetable garden.
