Solve Algebraic Equations

Solving recurrence equations requires the ability of solving algebraic equations. That is why PURRS comes equipped with an algebraic equation solver: here you can play with it.

Enter a polynomial in x with integer coefficients in the field below. The expression may include +, -, *, ^ (exponentiation), and parentheses. All constants must be integers and the only allowed variable symbol is x.

Examples of valid expressions are: x^4+4*x^3+6*x^2+4*x+1 and (2*x+1)^3*(x+2)^2.

This is computed on an AMD Athlon64 3000+ processor running GNU/Linux.
